Saturday morning's breakfast was an egg and bacon sandwich handcrafted by my husband so I decided to try my hand at making pastries for Sunday morning breakfast. Served with a mug of fresh filter coffee.
What I used:
- 1 sheet of ready roll puff pastry (I used Jus' Roll)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 4tsp light brown sugar (more if you like)
- 1 apple, grated
- milk, for glazing
How I made them:
1- Preheat the oven to 200C/390F/Gas 6.
2- Prepare a baking sheet with greaseproof paper or silicone baking mat.
3- Spread half the sugar with the cinnamon and grated apple evenly over the sheet of pastry.
4- Roll up and cut into 6.
5- Place cut side up, brush with milk and sprinkle over remaining sugar.
6- Bake for 25 mins until golden.
Best served about 10 minutes later with a mug of fresh tea or coffee.
These would be great with raisins added!
